Search and rescue, firefighters receive grants

NANAIMO – Grants awarded to Lantville firefighters and Nanaimo Search and Rescue.

Nanaimo Search and Rescue Society and Lantzville Volunteer Fire Fighters Association will be able to continue their public safety work thanks to community gaming grants from the B.C. government.

Nanaimo Search and Rescue received $81,000 while the Lantzville Volunteer Fire Fighters received $14,800, awarded under the public safety category of the Community Gaming Grant Program, which allows non-profit organizations to apply for provincial gaming revenues.
