Reports of a suspicious car led to drugs being taken off Vernon streets.

On Sunday at about 9:35 p.m., the police received a call of a suspicious vehicle sneaking in behind a vehicle that had used a code to enter a storage compound in the 2500 block of 43rd Street.

“When our officers attended, they located the suspect vehicle at the far end of the compound,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.

“After speaking to the male and female suspects,  they were arrested for possession of drugs.”

A search of their vehicle located drug paraphernalia, bear spray, cash a Taser and assorted drugs believed to be heroin, crystal meth, cocaine and marijuana.

A 37-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man have been held for court.

“They did have a storage locker there,” said Molendyk of the compound.
