Several road projects could impact Vernon traffic

City of Vernon moving ahead with infrastructure in four locations

Vernon motorists are being advised of a number of projects that may impact traffic patterns.

From Monday to Dec. 11, crews will be working along 30th Avenue at 25th Street (near the roundabout) to replace a water main under Swan Lake Creek. This replacement will repair a break and improve fire flows and water quality in the area. Traffic will be detoured during parts of the project. Businesses in the area will remain open.

On Tuesday, crews will be working along Okanagan Avenue between the 6100 block and Longacre Drive in order to drill boreholes. Traffic will be reduced to one lane during this time.

Traffic may be affected at the 5600 block of Anderson Way as crews install a concrete sidewalk until Friday.

Crews will be working along 35th Avenue, between Pleasant Valley Road and 35th Street, to establish boreholes Monday. Expect single-lane traffic and possible delays during the work.
