Shooting not random, say Chilliwack RCMP

Chilliwack RCMP are investigating a possible targeted shooting on the Skway reserve Monday morning.

A shot was fired into the home in the 9600 block of Lholhqwelwet Street at around 9:40 a.m. No one was injured.

Police are saying little about the incident. “We are still investigating the motivation behind this incident,” said Const. Tracy Wolbeck.  “However, we can say that we don’t believe this act to be a random act.”

The Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Service, general duty, serious crime, and the Lower Mainland District Integrated Forensic Identification Section all responded to the initial call.
