The Shuswap, North Okanagan and Central Okanagan are under a severe thunderstorm watch, according to Environment Canada.
The thunderstorms could hit Monday afternoon and come with the possibilityof large hail, lightning and winds with speeds between 80 and 100 km/h.
The storms will be the result of an upper disturbance coming in from the coast and a developing trough over the South Interior.
The thunderstorms will ease as westerly winds bring in dry air.
