Silver Six post tales of mountain trails

Six local residents were selected by the resort to blog and post about their experience nordic skiing on Facebook and Twitter

Silver Star Mountain Resort has launched its Silver Six Nordic social media campaign to promote cross-country skiing.

Six local Okanagan residents were selected by the resort to blog and post about their experience nordic skiing on Facebook and Twitter.

Kelowna school teacher Johnny Vesterinen joins with Vernon business consultant Bruce Acton and Sareena Nickoli, City Furniture’s marketing director, and three reporters to make up the Silver 6.

“I’m a skier, but not cross-country, so I’m looking forward to getting out there,” says Nickoli. “It’s going to be a great workout.”

The Silver Six are keen to give the trails at Silver Star Mountain Resort and Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre a try.

Watch their progress as the six receive lessons and start exploring at skisilverstar.com or connect with them on facebook.com/SilverStarMtnResort.

With a combined 105 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, Silver Star Mountain Resort and Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre opened Nov. 16.
