Smoky skies advisory ended for Okanagan

The current weather system has reduced the amount of smoke

The amount of wildfire-related smoke has eased in the Okanagan.

On Monday, the Ministry of Environment ended the smoky skies advisory that was issued July 7.

“The weather system that is moving through the Southern Interior has reduced the amount of smoke carried into the region, resulting in improved air quality,” states the ministry.

“These conditions are expected to continue over the next few days.”
