South Surrey police incident connected to ‘federal’ investigation

Police attention to a group of young men in a South Surrey parking lot last week was connected to a federal case, police say

Police attention to a group of young men in a South Surrey parking lot last week was connected to a file “that is being investigated by one of our federal units,” officials say.

Further details, however, were not disclosed, including if there was an arrest.

“At this point, I can’t really say anything other than it’s part of an active investigation,” Sgt. Annie Linteau told Peace Arch News.

An officer in an unmarked black SUV could be seen with the men – who appeared to be in their 20s – around 10:30 a.m. Nov. 7.
