Three people were taken to hospital after two vehicles collided head on March 12 on Wilson Street around 3:15 p.m.
A black Honda Civic was travelling southbound on Wilson, just south of Dewdney Trunk Road when the 17-year-old Maple Ridge male driver lost control of the vehicle at a corner and slid into the oncoming lane.
The Civic collided with another vehicle, driven by an 85-year-old female Mission resident. The elderly woman suffered bruises and unknown chest injuries and was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital by air ambulance in stable condition.
The teenaged driver and his 18-year-old female passenger were both taken to Ridge Meadows hospital for further examination. Police say speed was a factor in the crash and charges are being considered against the young driver.
