Speeding boaters a concern on lake

Boaters are being asked to slow down because of high water levels on Okanagan lake.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan is asking all boaters to keep their speeds and wakes down as they approach or travel near the shoreline.  That will help to reduce any erosion caused by wave action.

“As well, all boaters should continue to watch for and avoid floating debris carried into the lake during the spring runoff season,” said Bruce Smith, communications co-ordinator.

RDCO includes Lake Country and the North Westside Road area.
