Mark Aug. 19 on your calendars to visit historic downtown Armstrong for the Kraft Celebration Tour and live TSN SportsCentre broadcast.
Planning for the one-day event is well underway and local organizing committee chairman Ryan Nitchie is extending an invitation to local area sports teams to join in the festivities.
“We are inviting local area sports teams and non-profit organizations to promote their respective organizations at the event,” said Nitchie.
“We would really like to see local sports teams showcase their organizations with a display tent, interactive displays or demonstrations.”
With display space limited, any local sports organizations that would like to be a part of the festivities can contact the Armstrong-Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce at 250-546-8155 to reserve a spot.
The event does not allow commercial sales of any kind on site and fundraising is not permitted either.
The local organizing committee is also extending an invitation to local volunteers that would like to assist with the big event
“We really want to welcome any volunteers to be a part of this fun day, we need around 80 volunteers to help with set up, take down and the fun Kraft festivities that are going on from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Aug. 19,” said Nitchie.
