Stabbing in Harewood sends two men to hospital

Two men sent to Nanaimo hospital with stab wounds after an altercation near Value Village Friday afternoon.

The Nanaimo RCMP is investigating a stabbing incident that sent two men to hospital Friday afternoon.

Investigators say two males, ages 53 and 44, got into an altercation behind Value Village, on fifth Street. Both were transported to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both males are from the Nanaimo area and it’s unknown if the individuals knew each other.

The Nanaimo RCMP Serious Crime Unit is investigating.
