During a recent arrest of two prolific offenders in the Vernon area, members of the Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP’s task force unit recovered an amount of property they believe is associated to thefts or other related crimes.
“Our officers have searched through local files in attempts to identify the owners of this property,” said RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk. “However, all attempts have been unsuccessful.”
The investigating officers are asking residents who believe it is their electronics and jewelry that has been recovered and is in police care to please call the Vernon detachment.
Officers are asking you have the following information with you when you attend the police office: a file number for the reported theft; serial numbers for any electronic equipment; or a photo or some way to identify your property when you come to the office to claim it.
“This will speed up the process for our staff and assist you in getting your property returned to you quicker,” said Molendyk.
Also recovered at the same time was a small tool bag with some hand tools in it.
Owners can call 250-260-7168 and ask to speak to Cst. Audley.
