Stolen trumpets returned to owner

The instruments were stolen from the owners' vehicle in the 2700 block of 32nd Street Nov. 23.

A West Kelowna musician was reunited with his stolen trumpets today after they were turned into the Vernon RCMP.The instruments were stolen from the owners’ vehicle while it was parked on the 2700 block of 32nd Street Nov. 23.“A man working on a construction project on the 3200 block of 25th Avenue noticed the instrument case wedged in a space under the sidewalk. When he pulled the case out, he found both horns inside,” said Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.Both trumpets, a silver Bach Stradivarius trumpet and a brass plated Getzen Flueget horn, have great sentimental value to the owner. He has owned the silver trumpet for more than 25 years.
