There will be no job action in the North Okanagan-Shuswap School District.
A tentative agreement has been reached between the district and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents custodians, bus drivers and other support workers.
“I think all sides are pleased we have reached an agreement and can avoid a disruption to students,” said superintendent Glenn Borthistle.
CUPE members were in a position to walk off the job Tuesday morning.
A major sticking point was benefits. No details of the tentative agreement have been released.
