An overnight shooting in Surrey over the weekend has left one man dead and another injured.
Surrey RCMP were called to the scene near 152 Street and 66 Avenue just after 12 a.m. Saturday, where officers found two men in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
One victim succumbed to his injuries; the other was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation of the shooting has been taken over by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, who said in a release Saturday that the incident is believed to be targeted, however “there is no indication this shooting has any connection to any other investigation within the Surrey area.”
