If you haven’t been contacted for the recreation department’s resident survey yet, there is still time for you to participate.
The phone campaign, which started last Wednesday, continues until June 5. The survey, sponsored by Penticton’s recreation department, is looking to gauge residents’ thoughts on recreation facilities, programs and services.
“We want to hear from the people of Penticton,” says Chuck Loewen, general manager of recreation and facilities. “As we move forward with developing our recreation priorities, we would like to find out what programs and services are important in our community and where we should make improvements. We are also looking for feedback on how best to inform residents about what we have to offer to reach out more effectively.”
Until June 5, randomly selected residents will be called and asked to participate in a 12- to 15-minute survey with questions measuring satisfaction with various recreation facilities in the community, as well as determining which programs and services they have participated in during the past year.
But if you don’t get a call, you can still participate. Until June 15, an online questionnaire will be available at www.penticton.ca/recreation, and customers are encouraged to visit the site and complete the survey.
A similar survey, completed in 2012 to gauge citizen satisfaction with city services and gather input on a range of criteria, had 401 phone responses and 477 online responses.
