At 9:57 p.m., the Lake RCMP received a report that a male suspect entered the Highway 97 store and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the employee.

The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

General duty officers, along with a police service dog were unable to locate the suspect despite extensive patrols.

The suspect is described as:

Caucasian male;

5″8″ to 5’9″ tall;

210 pounds;

Wearing a black hooded sweater, black bandana over the face, sunglasses, and gloves;

Carrying a black handgun;
