The bylaws cover exemptions for not-for-profit organizations and places of worship within the community.

Some received full tax exemptions while others received partial exemptions or reductions in their property tax bills.

Lorrie Coates, chief financial officer for the municipality, said the tax exemptions are worth $114,964.74, or 1.6 per cent of the municipality’s total budget.

The exemptions and reductions for 10 not-for-profit organizations totalled $91,480.89, while the exemptions and reductions for nine places of worship came to $23,483.85
