The Vernon/Kelowna rink is 3 and one so far at the Canadian men’s curling championships.

UPDATE: The second day of the Tim Hortons Brier has proven challenging, so far, for Team Morris.

The Vernon/Kelowna rink lost 7-4 to Quebec during afternoon play Sunday in Kamloops. The team plays Nova Scotia at 6:30 p.m.

Team Morris got off to a strong start.

The Vernon/Kelowna rink of John Morris, Jim Cotter, Tyrel Griffith and Rick Sawatsky won both draws during the opening day of the Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops Saturday.

The rink won 7-6 over Alberta in the afternoon and 8-2 over Northern Ontario in the evening.

Team Morris plays Quebec at 1:30 p.m. today and Nova Scotia at 6:30 p.m.
