Join us this Labour Day weekend, Sept. 3– 5, for the 67th annual North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo in Barriere. The fair offers “family fun for everyone”, with this year’s theme being scarecrows, and the animal theme is heavy horses.
This year’s event features a full three days of Laughing Logger Lumberjack Show with three performances a day, chain saw carving and axe throw competitions, BCRA Rodeo, pony chariot and chuckwagon racing, entertainment stage with Gordie West, Hugh McLennan and more, lawn tractor races, 4-H and livestock competitions, outdoor and indoor entertainment, Bingo, Kidz Zone amusements, heavy horse pulls and driving competitions, light horse show, Hoof and Woof (horses and canines team up), 100’s of entries in the Exhibit Hall, great food concessions, giant ice cream cones, commercial booths and exhibits, and much more.
• Friday is our Family Dance (no alcohol).
• Saturday catch the Fall Fair Parade and big Cabaret Rodeo Dance.
• Sunday evening is the Cowboy Concert with Mack Station and more.
• Monday is Family Day with a Family Parade, and is a day filled with fun for all ages.
We are also senior friendly; with shuttle golf carts from the ticket gate to destinations throughout the fairgrounds for seniors and those with mobility challenges.
Dry camping is available on site for the weekend for just $40. Admission – adults $12, seniors and students $8, kids 10 and under free. Parking $2.
Please leave your dogs at home unless you are camping. No dogs past the ticket gates.
