The cat came back, with help

After being missing for over a week, Michael and Lynn Mears were overjoyed to find their cat.

Unfortunately she was stuck up a tree and wouldn’t come down.

“Our cat was missing for nine days when a couple of alert and caring neighbours spotted her very high up in a tree in the ravine along Vernon Creek,” said the Mears.

The terrain was too rough for vehicles with ladders, and even after hours of waiting and coaxing, the cat appeared too nervous to come down.

“Our only hope was for someone to climb up but it seemed like a mission impossible.

“Luckily ArborCare has a skilled and compassionate employee who made the feat seem effortless.”

Andrew Richard, of ArborCare Tree Service, scaled the tree and came to the rescue of the cat, Johnny Winter.
