Qualicum Beach certainly was a hub of activity on Saturday

It’s only Tracy and Duncan Nice’s third time at the St. Mark’s Fair, but they have plenty of customers.

“We come here once a year to get rid of (Duncan’s) creations,” Tracy said with a laugh. “He can’t stop himself.”

Nanaimo-based Nicely Recycled, the name of Duncan’s work, is all salvaged and repurposed pieces he finds through his work as a handyman.

“His joy is the making of it,” Tracy said.

Along with Nicely Recycled, there were vendors lined up and down Veterans Way at St. Mark’s Fair selling jewelry, clothing and household items.

Qualicum Beach was a hub of activity on Saturday with St. Mark’s Fair, Qualicum Beach Farmers’ Market, Grand Prix d’Art and the Art in Action fair.
