The tournament-standard lighting has now been installed at the facility next to Okanagan College, and the asphalt base for synthetic track has been poured.

“On Friday, the crews started rolling out the shock pad underlay for the synthetic turf field, in preparation for the installation of the turf Monday or Tuesday,” said Keith Pinkoski, parks planner with the Regional District of North Okanagan.

“The low-impact synthetic track surface will be installed over the top of the asphalt base through the month of October and let to cure for the fall.”
