Traffic stop nets wanted trio

Two men and a woman accused in Langley B&E, arrested after being pulled over in White Rock

A traffic stop in White Rock put three accused thieves behind bars for home break-ins in Langley, Sechelt and Vancouver.

On June 20, just after 1 a.m., White Rock RCMP officers conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of 160 Street. Information gathered during this stop sparked a multi-jurisdiction police investigation.

Using a search warrant police recovered items stolen from home robberies in Sechelt, Vancouver and Langley.

Two men, James Moore, 28, and Michael Boretsy, 28, of Surrey and a female, Afsenah Bayazidi, 18, of Vancouver have all been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Moore has also been charged with two counts of break and enter, one for an incident which occurred in Vancouver in May and another in Langley in June.

The White Rock RCMP are continuing the investigation with partnerships in Langley, Sechelt and Vancouver, and are hopeful that further charges will result.
