REVELSTOKE – Drive BC is reporting that the Trans-Canada is now re-opened between Revelstoke and Golden.
The announcement came at 7:09 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16. The highway had been closed since Friday due to an avalanche that blocked the highway in Glacier National Park.
However, the Trans-Canada remains closed just east of Golden, and its estimated opening is not until 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18. That closure covers a 14-kilometre stretch and is also due to an avalanche and avalanche work.
