PORT HARDY—MLA Claire Trevena opened the doors of her Port Hardy office to constituents at an open house event last week.

The Transportation Critic explained that her office was temporarily closed earlier in the year but, with the addition of Port Hardy Councillor Fred Robertson to the staff, the local office has resumed its regular hours.

“I think its important to have that connection,” said Trevena.

Robertson said that he would be available at the office Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and that calls from local constituents to the Campbell River office outside of those hours would be relayed back to the local office and the MLA.

Trevena said that she was in the local area every two weeks, usually out in the community, but said she was always happy to meet and discuss concerns.
