Nearly 3,600 people were left without power Tuesday morning, and Chilliwack Central Road remained closed Tuesday afternoon, after a single vehicle accident knocked out a power pole.
Early Tuesday morning, a transport truck and trailer side slipped onto the shoulder and then into a ditch.
It grazed a power pole on its way, with just enough impact to knock out service.
Power blinked off at 4:07 a.m. and was restored by 6:45 a.m.
The truck was the only vehicle on the road, and it sustained minor damage. The driver was the only person in the truck, coming away with a bruised shoulder.
