Around 10:40 a.m. on May 29, 100 Mile House RCMP and emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle incident on Highway 24 near Fawn Creek Road.
The driver of an east-bound Toyota Highlander lost control of her vehicle during a weather event. Her vehicle crossed the centreline and impacted a west-bound Jeep Liberty.
The first vehicle was then struck by another east-bound vehicle.
100 Mile House Fire Rescue chief Roger Hollander says two patients required extrication. Crews successfully removed both patients from the vehicles.
Out of the occupants of the three vehicles, one was air-lifted by helicopter to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops directly from the scene; one was transported to 100 Mile District General Hospital and then transferred to Royal Inland Hospital; the others were treated and released.
Weather and deteriorating road conditions appeared to be factors in this collision.
The investigation is continuing.
