Two Port Alberni residents charged in stabbing

Two residents have appeared in court charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Coby Harold Felsman, 39, and Kelita Yvonne Sieber, 32, both from Port Alberni, have each been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose in relation to an April 21 stabbing that sent a man to hospital with serious injuries.

Sieber appeared in court on April 28 and was released on bail until another appearance on May 11, according to Port Alberni RCMP Cpl. Amelia Hayden. Felsman’s next court appearance will also be May 11.

The incident took place inside a house in the 4900-block of Neill Street, where a man was stabbed in the neck and side. He was airlifted to Victoria General Hospital for treatment, but has since been released and returned home to recuperate, according to Hayden.
