UNBC campus broken into twice last week

The Terrace RCMP have responded to approximately 87 calls for service from April 5, 8 AM till April 8, 8 AM.

  • The fence in between Finning and Totem Ford was vandalized during the night of April 4/5. Tools were used to cut the fence in between the two businesses.
  • Break and enter to the UNBC on Keith Ave during the night of April 4/5. An exterior window was broken. Terrace Forensic Identification Section are assisting with the investigation.
  • Break and enter to the UNBC on Keith Ave during the night of April 6/7. An exterior window was smashed.
  • Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a nine year old boy for shoplifting. Police turned him over to the care of his guardian. He is banned from the store.
  • Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested an 11 yr old boy for shoplifting. He is banned from Walmart.
  • Save On Foods employee arrested two women ages 18 and 17 for shoplifting. They are banned from the store.
  • Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart reported to police an internal theft. A 16 yr old boy has taken responsibility for the offence and has been referred to the Terrace Restorative Justice.
  • Police are forwarding charges of driving while prohibited on a 21 yr old woman who was driving a grey 2001 Mazda Protegee.
  • Police were called to assist BC Ambulance with a man who was verbally abusive towards dispatch. The man was highly intoxicated and had fallen out of bed. Police stood by while paramedics placed him back into his bed.
  • Police pulled over a white 2004 Ford F-150 for a number of vehicle infractions on Lakelse Ave. The 38 yr old driver provided a sample of breath that failed a roadside screening device. He was issued an Immediate Roadside Suspension and the vehicle he was driving was impounded. Police also served a driving prohibition on the man.
  • Intoxicated man yelling at people and throwing things around at the Greyhound bus depot on Keith Ave. Police arrested a 49 yr old man for breaching his conditional sentence order by possessing and consuming alcohol. He is remanded to appear before a judge.
  • Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a 32 yr old man for shoplifting. The man resisted the officer and assaulted him. Police arrested the man and are forwarding charges of resist arrest, escape lawful custody, assault peace officer, and theft.
  • A man reported a party going on in his residence on Kenney St involving underage drinking. Police attended and removed everyone from the residence.
  • A woman purchased cocaine for herself and another woman. One of the women refused to share so the other woman punched her. Police arrested a 33 yr old woman for assault. The other woman was treated at Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
  • A woman was assaulted at a residence on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. Under investigation.
