UPDATE:
At approximately 12:15 p.m. Monday, August 19, the body of the 73-year-old male who was reported missing in Mirror Lake was located by the RCMP Dive Team.
The male was in approximately 45 feet of water, close to where he was last seen. The recovery proved more difficult than expected as the bottom of the lake is covered in a significant layer of mud, making visibility an issue.
The RCMP is still attempting to locate the next of kin, as such no name is being released. Foul play is not suspected and the case will be turned over to the BC Coroners Service.
