Officials report that hydro service has been restored to Kingfisher and Mabel Lake.

Emergency response continues on the Enderby / Mabel Lake road as a result of the Cooke Creek flooding.
As of Saturday afternoon, Mabel Lake Road work is proceeding with a continued target re‐opening to single-lane alternating traffic for Monday.
“B.C. Hydro crews are on site undertaking repairs,” said David Sewell, Regional District of North Okanagan finance general manager.
“Hydro may be restored between 8 p.m. and midnight tonight providing conditions allow. Supplies of bottled water and medical supplies in addition to generators are being staged on the Kingfisher side of the washout in the event they are required.”
To ensure site safety and to assist in road re‐opening, the public is being asked to avoid this area until the road is re‐opened for public access.
Shuswap MLA Greg Kyllo toured the scene Saturday and met with emergency crews.
“I am both impressed and appreciative of the work being undertaken to restore the transportation link and services to Mabel Lake,” he said on his Facebook page.
