UPDATED: According to Const. Kris Clark from Kelowna RCMP, Stephen Kenneth Shaw has been found.
A Christina Lake man has been reported missing after failing to appear on a bus destined for Chilliwack.
Stephen Kenneth Shaw, 27, was scheduled to meet with his mother on the morning of July 16 but failed to show.
According to Kelowna RCMP, the Greyhound bus reportedly arrived at 3 a.m. on July 16 in Chilliwack, but Shaw wasn’t onboard and his family has been unable to locate him.
Shaw is described as standing approximately 1.83 metres (six-feet) tall and weighing about 81.65 kilograms (180 pounds) with brown hair and eyes.
He also has two tattoos, a grim reaper on his left leg and a Canadian flag on his neck.
RCMP say that Shaw had been last seen in Kelowna and had been living at a hotel there, although he was originally from Christina Lake – police also said that he told his mother he was going to Chilliwack but told his girlfriend he wanted to go home.
He doesn’t have a history of going missing and his family is concerned about his welfare and mental state.
Anyone with any information on Shaw is asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
