A man who escaped from the Daly Pavilion Mental Health Facility in Trail on Saturday night was safely apprehended in Nelson on Sunday evening.
Trail RCMP said Alexis Grenier, 18, is delusional and having “homicidal command hallucinations” and posed a serious risk to himself and the public.
Cpl. Mike Wilson said Grenier was picked up without incident yesterday and returned to Trail.
“Trail RCMP would like to express our thanks for all the assistance from the public with this investigation,” Wilson said. “Without the help of the community, a successful resolution to this problem would not have been possible.”
