In an incident eerily similar to one earlier this month, the body of a drowning victim was recovered on July 30 off Sudbury Beach on Skaha Lake.
The RCMP have not yet released any information on the incident, but Penticton firefighters were observed in their rescue boat pulling a body from the lake late Saturday afternoon.
Cpt. Ken Younghusband of the Penticton Fire Rescue said crews responded by boat and vehicle to the scene where they recovered the body of a man in about eight to 10 feet of water.
He was pulled into the rescue boat and firefighters performed CPR as they took the victim to shore and a waiting BC Ambulance.
Attempts to revive the patient were unsuccessful.
On July 3, a Romanian tourist drowned in the same area while paddleboarding and being knocked off his board by a gust of wind.
