Valley Appreciation day kicked off on July 23.
Local businesses, companies, and concessions filled 13th Street in Invermere. Fun was had with games like the soap box car derby, and the annual lumberjack competition.

The Simpsons soap box derby team round the bend and head for the finish line during a soap box derby at this year's Valley Appreciation Day. Team Simpsons was able to win the day, beating out challengers in RONA built and donated soap box cars in six heats to take home the grand prize.
