A Vernon man has been identified as the victim of a single-vehicle accident Friday morning near Golden

A Vernon man has been identified as the victim of a single-vehicle accident near Golden.

Michael Christopher Swanson, 36, was killed at about 6 a.m. Friday when his small commercial transport vehicle left Highway 95, went down an embankment and rolled over into a residential property near the community of Parson, 35 kilometres south of Golden.

Swanson was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The highway was reduced to single-lane alternating traffic for a few hours, re-opening once emergency crews departed the scene.

The B.C. Coroner’s office is still investigating the incident.
