Vernon police seek witnesses in hit-and-run

A pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Vernon RCMP are seeking witnesses in a hit and run accident.

On Friday at around 5:20 a.m., a 26-year-old man was walking near the intersection of 43rd Street and 25th Avenue when he claimed he was struck by a car which failed to stop at the scene.

The man was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The witness described the suspect vehicle as being a white Pontiac Vibe with possibly a female driver and male front passenger. No other details were provided.
