Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP were called to the 7000 block of Bella Vista Rd in Vernon on Friday, Nov. 27, shortly before 11 p.m. after a witness reported a vehicle leaving the road and go into the ditch.
“The male driver fled the scene,” said RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
RCMP investigated and located the 44-year-old man a short time later at his residence. He was issued a violation ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
No further information is being released in this matter. The RCMP investigation is concluded.
