The Abbotsford Centre is filled with representatives from across the Fraser Valley today for the Fraser Valley Economic Summit.

The summit is focused on the economic opportunities and challenges unique to small- and medium-sized businesses in the Fraser Valley.

Building on the 2012 Abbotsford Economic Symposium, the summit was restructured as a regional event drawing various levels of participation from the Township of Langley, City of Langley, District of Mission and the City of Chilliwack.

The busy day began with a networking breakfast and lunch, and will feature three keynote speakers, a series of breakout sessions, and a mayor’s panel.

The summit emcee and keynote speaker is Bill Good, broadcasting legend and former CKNW talk show host. Other keynote speakers are Abbotsford MP Ed Fast, motivational speaker Alvin Law, and president and CEO of Kinder Morgan Ian Anderson.
