UPDATE MONDAY, APRIL 14, 11 A.M.: Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP have released more information about Sunday’s accident.
Vernon RCMP say a southbound SUV pulled out to pass a vehicle along a divided line when it collided with a northbound motorcycle.
Two people on the motorcycle died at the scene. The driver of the SUV, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was not injured.
All three people are from the North Okanagan, though police have not released any names, ages or genders.
At this part of the early indication, police are saying that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.

Two Vernon area residents have died in a motor vehicle accident.
At about 9 p.m. Sunday, an SUV and a motorcycle collided on Westside Road at Mary’s Emerald Bay Road, near Newport Creek.
The two individuals on the motorcycle died at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by Vernon RCMP.
