I would like to clarify that the local Salvation Army Thrift Store (100-1100 Homewood Rd) accepts many types of donations in addition to clothes.

We will accept donations of furniture, small appliances, clothing, linens, shoes, books, DVDs, housewares, etc. in good working/reusable condition.

The revenue generated through the sale of our donated goods at our Homewood Road store and New Beginnings Boutique (201-226 S. Island Hwy.) stay in Campbell River and support our community programs such as our Lighthouse Soup Kitchen where we serve approximately 20,000 meals a year, Sandwich Van where we serve approximately 12,000 meals a year and family services emergency assistance that helps approximately 400 local households with emergency food hampers and clothing vouchers.
