Local downhill skier Chelsea Adam was one of the fastest to zig-zag her way down the mountain on the weekend.
Adam, who trains with the Mt. Washington Ski Club in the Comox Valley, won a bronze medal at the slalom event at the International Ski Federation Miele Cup series race at Nakiska, Alta.
Next up for the Nanaimo District Secondary School Grade 12 student are races in Whistler and Rossland, B.C.
Adam’s Mt. Washington club will be hosting K1 provincial championships tomorrow (March 18) through Sunday.
