They weren’t perfect, but the Langley Eagles won the games that mattered most.
The atom A1 hockey club rebounded from a tie and a loss in their final two round robin games to win their pool and earn a spot in the championship final of the Abbotsford Atom Rep Christmas Tournament last week.
And in the finals, it was Langley coming away with a decisive 7-1 victory over the host Abbotsford Hawks squad.
This was the Eagles’ second tournament victory in as many tries this season.
Langley defeated Abbotsford 10-6 and Kamloops 5-0, tied Chilliwack 1-1 and lost to Coquitlam 4-3 in round robin play.
