Bantams compete hard at provincials

The Nanaimo bantam AAA team went 2-2 in pool play at provincial championships this past weekend at Mariner Field and Serauxmen Stadium.

The Nanaimo bantam AAA team was competitive at provincials, but missed out on the chance to compete for a championship.

The host team finished pool play with a 2-2 record at the tournament, held this past weekend at Mariner Field and Serauxmen Stadium.

Nanaimo started strongly with a 9-4 win against Cowichan, but then lost 5-2 to Delta and 5-4 to Vancouver before finishing with a 7-5 victory against Burnaby.

Tournament organizers thanked the event’s sponsors.
