No team thrives in overtime more than the Columbia Bible College men’s basketball squad.
The Bearcats boosted their record to 3-6 on the season with a 108-107 home win over the Kwantlen Eagles last Friday. Remarkably, all three of their wins have come in OT. Kevin Ford had an explosive performance for the Bearcats, racking up 46 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. For his efforts, he was named the men’s basketball player of the week for the PacWest conference.
The CBC women’s hoopsters (0-9) dropped a 67-42 decision to Kwantlen.
The Bearcats basketball teams are home this weekend to face the Quest Kermodes on Friday and the Capilano Blues on Saturday (women 6 p.m., men 8 p.m. both nights).
