Langley’s Garrett Billings has won the National Lacrosse League’s Sportsmanship Award for the 2013 season.

Billings was announced as the winner on Monday.

The 27-year-old finished second in regular season scoring in the NLL with 100 points, scoring 30 goals and 70 assists. And he had just four minutes in penalties, exemplifying a high level of sportsmanship to go along with tremendous play on the field.

The four-year veteran became the first Rock player in franchise history to record back-to-back 100-point seasons. He was runner-up for the NLL most valuable player award in 2012.
