North Langley majors baseball team falls in semifinals of President's Cup tournament in Vancouver

The North Langley Blue Jays majors baseball team took home both the top offensive and top defensive team awards.

The team was competing at the President’s Cup tournament from May 22 to 25, which was hosted by the Vancouver Minor Baseball Association.

The Blue Jays outscored their opponents 49-19 — using great pitching, defence and hitting four outside of the park home runs — and were scheduled to play for the bronze medal before the final day was rained out.

The team went 3-0 to win their pool before losing 8-7 in the semifinals.

The Blue Jays consist of  Joey Yeomans , Alex Crone , Dylan Frayne , Sensho Hung , Elias Blum , Nick Sarrazin, Keagan Novis , Tyler Harrison , Jaxon Wood, Isaiah Peters , Jesse Nielsen and Caleb Kaufmann. The team is coached by John Yeomans.
