Bowling provincials a ‘perfect ten’

Recently renovated Campbell River Bowling Centre hosts BC Tenpin championships

Fresh off a renovation and installation of a new synthetic floor, Campbell River Bowling Centre was rewarded last weekend with the BC Tenpin Federation’s 2015 championship tournament.

And the hosts rose to the occasion.

In four days of competition Thursday through Sunday, the club hosted more than 100 bowlers and officials from across the province.

In an opening ceremony marked by a ribbon-cutting and rolling of a ceremonial first ball by centre owner Ian Fong, master of ceremonies Valerie McDonald introduced club and BCTF executives and recognized members of the BC Bowling Hall of Fame in attendance.

Full competition results were not available at press time.
